My moon is sitting up there in the 11th house. Saturn is transiting my second house. Uranus is in my eighth. Chiron is conjunct my south node in Pisces in the 8th as well (north node is conjunct Pluto in the second). Neptune sits at the bottom of it all in my 4th house.

I found a really wonderful Iyengar Yoga studio here – that I will regret leaving if I have to go. Also a very liberal Episcopal Church here – as well as the Jung society – again all regretting to leave if I am forced to go. I am in Maryland – and had legal problems in Virginia – one state over – during the eclipses last summer – August 1st was right on my ascendent, August 16th was square my sun in Taurus at 25 degrees. August was awful.

Needless to say – this has all been a challenge. I was counting on this job to get me through until I could clear up the legal problems – but obviously not. I feel taking the job in the first place was a mistake – and I have forbeared it for two years as this area offered me other things. I have someone in the organization trying to pull me back in – and I may do it because i am in a money crunch – even though it will be difficult – but I will not plan on staying long term. I am talking to recruiters in Mass and Georgia.

I grew up AirForce – I have moved 20 times as a kid – so I am sure the wound will be having to leave all I love behind yet again. Getting tired of this. If I end up having to leave after spending two years trying to build something – that is difficult in itself. I am trying to be philosophical about it. My problem has never been about being materialistic or narcissistic – I was led down the garden path and betrayed. Too trusting and now I am scrambling around dealing with a situation. With pluto on my north node call it the pathway of wising up.

anyway – will look at the other section as suggested. Trying to be philosophical and centered. Life is never easy is it.

From your brief situational and natal placement sketch, it sounds like you are under a classic example of emotional shock and hurt, one that recalls fears and wounds you probably thought long banished. Of course, you are not the only one facing a situation of drastic change that you never really thought possible–but that’s cold comfort, isn’t it, when one is trying to find the next solid step in a world of shifting sands?

Considering the aspects you’ve outlined, there are only a few things I can venture: that the opposition period will bring further, deep emotional impact via either the House matters of the Moon’s natal placement or the House it rules natally–so you’ve likely not ‘hit bottom’ emotionally yet. However, Neptune trine your Moon can have one of several radical outcomes; much depends on your relationship to Neptunian energies. This could signal real difficulty in stabilizing the emotions, the realization of an emotional ideal, or anything in between! The matters of the House Neptune rules can be particularly sensitive to changes at this time. And Chiron sextile Venus, again, points to either hurt or a bringing forward of your unique Chirotic skills in relationship, finances, or other topics related to Venus ruled Houses in your natal chart. The only certainty here is that the impact of all this will be at the very least strongly emotional, and that you are likely to revisit life areas of hurt that you thought were already a closed book.

It’s hard to deal in specifics with so little data–but as I don’t draw charts (except under very unusual circumstances) to answer comments, this will have to do. I have heard from many people unjustifiably terminated from their employment–always they are highly skilled, with a good attitude, aware they were making a significant contribution to their situation–and the one thing I know is, they should not be taking current events personally. My husband went through a similar situation some months ago–we embraced it as an opportunity–and we are vastly better off than we were before, though the transition, and the uncertainty until resolution, are not easy to live with, no matter how much you trust the Universe!

I was laid off from my job 9/23/2008 – but it became official (last day of work 10/16/2008). My moon is at 19 degrees Gemini. So – as you know – it will be at the apex of the T-square forming because of the opposition of Saturn-Uranus. Neptune is also trine the moon. Chiron is sextile my Venus.

Having to look for a job right now is scary and not fun. Looking for any insight possible. You have wonderful information here. I am very glad I found you. I am female, 47 years old, and an engineer with an MBA. I never thought I would be going through this at this point. I live in the DC metro the past two years and looking to go back to Boston, stay in this metro, or go somewhere else.

You’ve hit the nail on the head with people’s energies being very touchy, reactive, abrupt. I’ve never seen so much upheaval and rupture in normally secure relationships. Relatedness pain is rampant, as is fear.

The upcoming opposition hits my MC/IC exact at 18 in 10(saturn)-4(uranus). I have about 4 weeks to completely ground myself as it feels like Ike is going to blow through the front door of my heart and soul if not my home.
